About

Built by an operator for operators.

TYR Academy teaches AI through real operating problems. The aim is to help an owner or team build a controlled system, test it under realistic conditions, and decide whether it improves the work.

Why the Academy exists

Much AI education ends at the demonstration. Business owners must deal with what happens next: access, bad inputs, incorrect output, approvals, exceptions, staff adoption, costs, and maintenance.

Marc Taylor founded TYR Academy to document a more practical approach. Marc owns and operates TYR Logistics and has more than 26 years of international logistics and operational experience. Over the past year, he has been building and testing AI infrastructure and workflows against real business problems.

The lessons are drawn from systems being built, tested, and refined inside that operating environment. Logistics provides demanding examples, but the methods apply to any business that depends on timely communication, reliable handoffs, controlled access, and accountable decisions.

The operating method

  1. Define the problem in operational terms.
  2. Choose the smallest workflow that could improve it.
  3. Limit data and permissions to what the task requires.
  4. Keep consequential actions behind human approval.
  5. Test normal cases, difficult cases, and unsafe inputs.
  6. Measure accuracy, time, cost, and exceptions.
  7. Write the procedure so the team can operate it.
  8. Expand authority only when the evidence supports it.

What the Academy is not

TYR Academy is not a career school, recruitment service, AI agency, or software vendor. It does not promise that every workflow should be automated. It teaches owners and teams how to choose, build, supervise, and improve their own systems.
