Practical AI for business operators

Learn AI by building systems you can actually use.

TYR Academy gives business owners, operators, and teams a practical way to put AI into real work. Each learning experience starts with an operating problem and ends with a small system you can test, supervise, and improve.

Who the Academy serves

Built for the people responsible for making a business work.

Business owners

You want AI to reduce delay, repetitive work, and operating friction without giving up control of the business. TYR Academy helps you choose a useful first project and define what AI may and may not do.

Operators and managers

You run the day-to-day work. You need repeatable procedures, clear exceptions, and a consistent way for your team to review AI-assisted work.

Teams adopting AI

You need shared language, practical guardrails, and a way to measure whether an AI workflow is helping. The Academy gives the team a common build and review process.

Independent professionals

You want to apply AI to communications, documents, client work, and administration without becoming a developer or committing to a large software project.

Four learning pillars

What the system says, what it connects to, how access is controlled, and how it is operated.

The first learning experiences in each pillar are being prepared. Create a free account to receive release notices.

Pillar 01

AI Communications

Coming soon

Use AI to classify, summarize, translate, and draft communications while keeping tone, facts, and final judgment under human control.

Typical build: an inbox workflow that sorts messages, highlights urgent items, and prepares a first draft for approval.

Pillar 02

AI Agent Integration

Coming soon

Connect AI to the tools the business already uses. Define what the agent can read, what it can write, and what requires approval.

Typical build: an agent that turns an approved request into a structured spreadsheet, CRM, or ticket entry.

Pillar 03

AI Agent Security

Coming soon

Protect business data by limiting access, treating external content as untrusted, logging actions, and establishing approval and shutdown procedures.

Typical build: a permission map and review process for one AI-assisted workflow.

Pillar 04

AI Operations

Coming soon

Run AI as part of daily work through procedures, ownership, exception handling, quality checks, cost review, and measurable performance.

Typical build: a daily operations review that identifies failed tasks, missing data, and items requiring human action.

How learning works

From a real problem to a supervised system.

  1. Choose a real problem

Start with work that is repetitive, delayed, difficult to review, or easy to miss. A good first project is narrow enough to test without disrupting the operation.

  2. Learn the pattern

Understand the workflow, tradeoffs, data boundaries, approval points, and failure modes before connecting a tool.

  3. Build a supervised version

Configure a small working system using tools you already have where practical. Keep consequential actions behind human approval.

  4. Run and improve it

Test the system with ordinary cases, difficult cases, and deliberately unsafe inputs. Measure the result, correct failures, and decide whether it deserves a larger role.

Practical projects and outcomes

Systems learners will build

Early builds planned for the first learning experiences.

An inbox that prepares the first response

Coming soon

The system classifies incoming messages, summarizes long threads, extracts deadlines, and drafts a response. A person reviews the draft before anything is sent.

Documents that produce structured briefs

Coming soon

The system turns long reports, tenders, or agreements into a consistent brief with source references, open questions, and an explicit review step.

An agent connected to a business tool

Coming soon

The agent reads an approved source, writes only to permitted fields, records each action, and stops when the request falls outside its authority.

A daily operations review

Coming soon

The system checks for missing data, overdue items, exceptions, and failed automations, then prepares a short review for the responsible operator.

Community

Learn alongside people who run businesses.

Coming soon

The TYR Academy community will give owners and operators a place to ask specific questions, review builds, share reusable patterns, and discuss failures without exposing confidential information. The community will open with the first learning experiences.

Resources

Field notes, templates, checklists, and walkthroughs.

Coming soon

The first field notes, templates, checklists, and walkthroughs are being prepared. They will focus on decisions an operator can use immediately, including how to choose a suitable workflow, limit an agent's permissions, and design human approval.

About Marc

An operator-built approach.

TYR Academy was founded by Marc Taylor, owner and operator of TYR Logistics. Marc has more than 26 years of international logistics and operational experience. Over the past year, he has been building and testing AI infrastructure and workflows against real operating problems.

Logistics is the main worked example because the work is time-sensitive, document-heavy, and dependent on accurate handoffs. The underlying patterns apply to any business that communicates, moves information between systems, protects sensitive data, and manages exceptions.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the Academy

What is TYR Academy?

TYR Academy is a practical AI learning and implementation community for business owners, operators, managers, and teams. Each learning experience is designed around a system the learner can build, supervise, test, and improve.

Who is TYR Academy for?

It is for people responsible for making a business work. That includes owners, operations leaders, managers, independent professionals, and teams introducing AI into existing workflows.

Is TYR Academy only for logistics?

No. Logistics is the main worked example because that is the operating environment in which many of the lessons are being developed. The methods apply to other industries that manage communications, documents, handoffs, sensitive information, and operational exceptions.

Do I need coding experience?

No. The learning path starts with the business workflow, permissions, approval, and testing. Some advanced builds may include technical options, but the core lessons are designed for operators who may use configured tools rather than write software.

Is anything available now?

The public website, free account creation, login, and contact form are available now. The first learning experiences, community, and resource library are still being prepared. Account holders will be notified as each becomes available.

What does it cost?

Creating an account is currently free. Pricing for future learning experiences or membership has not been announced.
